We can now load information from files.
Use the Browse button to select an appropriate file from
your computer.
Then use the Load Puzzle button to read in your file.
At that point you can make changes to your selections and
use the Make Puzzle button to create your puzzle.
There are three types of files that can be read:
- Plain text files --
Create a file that contains one word per line. Save this as a
plain text file. No formatting, no nothing, nothing to get
confused on.
- Microsoft Word *.doc or *.docx document --
Some people are confused about plain text files. If you create
the file with Microsoft Word, my transformation package might
be able to make sense of it. No guarentees. Go back to format
one to be sure. Again, one word per line.
- Previous puzzle as HTML --
Save your final puzzle to your disk when you get one you like.
Transfer this file back and you get all of the settings
such as words, fonts, etc.
- No Others! --
I've had people attempt to send images, Microsoft Publisher,
and a variety of other rather interesting
formats. They won't work. If you have difficulties, go back
to typing the words into the form provided.
Note that when you use one of these choices, the words used are only
those from the file you selected.
